Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde as the new Queen of Nollywood Over Genevieve Nnaji – TIME Magazine

Genevieve Nnaji is no longer the Queen of Nollywood since the most authoritative and most powerful news magazine in the world TIME magazine has recognized leading Nollywood diva Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde as the new Queen of Nollywood in its citation on her as she became the first Nigerian actress to make the highly coveted and esteemed annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world of TIME magazine. She is among the icons on the list.

Omotola has overtaken other Nollywod stars as the most bankable by becoming the highest paid and with over 1 million Likes on Facebook.

Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson proudly cited this unprecedented global recognition given to a Nollywood star at the 9th Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) held last Saturday April 20, 2013, at the Gloryland Cultural Center in Yenagoa, capital of Bayelsa State.

She attended Christland Nursery School and Oxford Children School (both in Lagos) for her primary school education. She attended Command Secondary School, Kaduna for her secondary school. She attended Yaba College of Technology, where she studied Estate Management. She is married to Capt. Matthew Ekeinde Jnr., and they have four children.

Omotola Jalade Is Back In the Studios for New Music Album

Nollywood diva star actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde is busy in the studios working on her third music album this year. She will be working on the album with Kendrick Dean, a five time Grammy nominated composer and producer. She will also be working with Verse Simmonds, a producer who has produced songs for the likes of R Kelly, and Rihanna.

Omotola Jalade previously released two music albums, title Gba (2006), and Me, Myself, and Eyes (2010).
